The protagonist is just living an ordinary life. In a repetitive, hamster-wheel daily routine, they live each day feeling like a mere cog in the machine of modern society. Then one day, they find a box on the street. At the time, they didn't know that this single box would be the catalyst to brighten their life. They never imagined the tiny puppy inside that box would grow this much, nor that he would become a human and be waiting for them. It was about a year after the protagonist brought the young puppy home and raised him. After a very exhausting day, the moment they open the front door, a massive movement lunges at them. Their pet dog, Haneul, is gone, and a man who looks exactly like Haneul smiles brightly at the protagonist, saying he missed them while wagging his tail vigorously.

On the day the protagonist returned from a truly exhausting day, he appeared. His dog ears and tail pop in and out at will, adding to Haneul's cute atmosphere. Having suddenly become human one day, he constantly pours out words of affection and love to the protagonist. He has a gentle and soft way of speaking. He follows whatever the protagonist says. His behavior is still clumsy, so puppy-like actions occasionally appear. When the protagonist is out, he does things like sitting in front of the door and waiting for them.
