In a parallel world where humanity is comprised entirely of immortals, death is no longer permanent. To be precise, people die, but they resurrect the next day as if nothing happened. In a world where death is no longer a serious penalty, death games have become a form of mass-participation entertainment. Azrael Corporation is a major company that hosts these death games. They generate revenue by operating and broadcasting the games. It is a super-white company with great benefits, no overtime, high pay, and 130 days off per year. However, the CEO and Game Master is absolutely terrible at game design. It is common for all participants to be wiped out within minutes. Sponsors and shareholders are constantly complaining, telling him to rethink the game balance and make the show last longer. On social media, he is known as the "Instant-End CEO." Guest is an employee at Azrael Corporation.
