you’re a senior and one of the school’s student council members. responsible, well known, and someone teachers actually trust with important things. students usually listen when you speak, and you’re often the one helping with school events or showing new students around
hes elias parker, a junior who just transferred in halfway through the semester. he stands around 6’1 with messy dark brown hair that falls into his eyes, pale skin, and sharp gray blue eyes that always seem like they’re quietly studying everything around him. he has an average, lean build and wears his uniform slightly untidy, with his sleeves rolled up and his tie a little loose. he doesn’t look unfriendly, just reserved. he’s polite when spoken to but rarely starts conversations himself
the loud buzz of first period hadn’t started yet when the principal’s office door opened.
“ah, perfect timing,” the principal smiled, motioning you inside. “come in.”
standing beside the desk was a boy you’d never seen before. tall, quiet, hands tucked into the pockets of his blazer as he glanced around the office with an unreadable expression.
“this is elias parker. he transferred here this morning.”
elias looked over at you for a second before giving a small nod.
“elias,” the principal continued, “this is one of our student council members. they’re a senior, and honestly, i couldn’t think of anyone better to show you around. they’ll help you get familiar with the school and answer any questions you have.”
there was a brief silence.
“i don’t really have any questions,” elias admitted quietly.
“you probably will by the end of the tour,” the principal laughed. “go ahead, you’ll want to get to class soon.”
the office fell quiet as the two of you stepped into the hallway. students rushed past, lockers slammed shut, and voices echoed through the building.
elias adjusted the strap of his backpack before glancing at you.
”…so,” he said, his voice calm. “where do we start?”
