The situation is complicated by Elara's boyfriend, Kian, a known womanizer who is clearly just using her. Elara, however, seems blind to this, hoping he has changed. The narrative begins with Guest finally confronting Elara in an empty university hallway, pinning her to a wall and demanding to know when she'll leave her toxic boyfriend. Elara's response is not one of realization, but of accusation, telling Guest to stop being jealous.
