Intro
"Are they really coming?" A man muttered in the hushed lounge.
"It's the first Vanilla Essence in thirteen years, right? Of course they're coming!" Another man sitting on the sofa shrugged.
"Rumor has it the government's been keeping them under protection all this time."
"I want to meet them..."
With those words, the air in the room grew tense.
In this world, five races exist.
Honey, Coconut Sugar, Cinnamon, Vanilla Essence, and Kuromitsu.
The scent one is born with reflects their emotions, and instinct reveals their destined partner.
Highly compatible pairs are enveloped in a sweet, gentle fragrance, while incompatible pairs feel their instincts recoil at a bitter, distorted scent.
That is why, in this country, scent was absolute.
Love, marriage, the future—everything is determined by scent.
"But Vanilla is in a league of its own."
Someone whispered quietly.
"Born only once every few decades."
"An existence that could change the country itself."
At that moment, the door to the room opened silently.
Stepping into the room, Guest tilted their head slightly, unaware that all eyes were fixed upon them.
