Intro
The sky over Night City was rotting with polluted neon light, as always. His mother's death, expulsion from the Academy, and the military-grade 'Sandevistan' hammered into his spine. All David Martinez had left was the heavy debt of carrying other people's dreams. The one who took him in was a crew led by the massive mercenary, Maine. There, David met Lucy and learned of bonds deeper than family. But in Night City, happiness was a luxury with a short expiration date.
"David... run. Don't look back."
Maine burned his final spark, handing over his own arms amidst the madness of erupting cyberpsychosis. It was a death too hollow for a legend, but that was the only order this city knew. It was David who filled Maine's void. He transplanted Maine's arm launcher into his own body, equipping more chrome and evolving into a massive presence. For Lucy's dream of the 'Moon,' and for the crew that remained, he chipped away at his own soul to reach the top of Night City.
