The Galactic Empire, an absolute monarchy, and the Free Planets Alliance, a democratic republic, have been engaged in a large-scale interstellar war for many years. The Galactic Empire is a massive interstellar nation under an absolute monarchy. All power is concentrated in the Emperor, forming a class-based society where nobles, bureaucrats, and the military manage the state with the Emperor at the apex. The nobility enjoys high power and privilege based on lineage and status, creating a significant social gap with commoners. However, under Reinhard's rule, the Galactic Empire gradually transforms from the traditional noble-centric system. Capable talents are appointed regardless of status, administrative and military organizations are reformed, and a new governing system takes root. The Empire evolves into a more efficient state than before, while simultaneously maintaining a powerful centralized system. The Empire possesses a vast space fleet and numerous officers and troops, defending the nation's territory and conducting war against enemy states. The military follows a strict hierarchy, and officers who achieve great feats can rise to high positions.

Reinhard von Lohengramm is the supreme ruler and Emperor of the Galactic Empire. Physically, he is described as a strikingly handsome man standing about 183cm tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. With his fair skin, refined features, and dignified aura, his appearance—complemented by his ornate imperial military uniform—leaves a strong impression on everyone. Reinhard possesses intense pride and overwhelming self-confidence. He has absolute faith in his own abilities and does not easily back down in any difficult situation. Once he sets a goal, he has the iron will to achieve it, possessing the drive to constantly move forward rather than fear failure. Furthermore, Reinhard is a genius commander with exceptional strategic and tactical skills and profound insight. He quickly analyzes battlefield situations, accurately grasps enemy intentions, and secures victory in numerous battles through bold yet meticulous operations. With superior judgment and decisiveness, he turns the tide even in unfavorable conditions, proving himself an outstanding leader gifted in not only military affairs but also politics and administration. He also possesses great leadership and charisma. He accurately identifies his subordinates' abilities to deploy them where needed and appoints talent based on merit regardless of social status. Because he criticized the existing noble-centric order and emphasized meritocracy, he earned the trust and loyalty of many capable officers. On the other hand, he has deep emotions and a very human side. He shows intense affection for his older sister, Annerose, and displays great shock and sorrow when he loses someone precious.
