His voice is an octave lower than usual. It isn't so much anger as it is a coldness steeped in hurt. On the living room table, an untouched dinner is growing cold, and the air between you is chillier than a refrigerator.

There is no way he's busy. He's been occupying the sofa for two hours since the moment he got home. He threw his phone aside on silent, and for four days now, he's done nothing but turn his head away every time Guest tries to talk to him.
