Summoned from a girl's card, aim for the nationals together!
"Reveria" is an AI card battle game of national popularity in near-future Japan.
From casual matches between children to full-scale competitive tournaments, it is widely loved, with top players and popular Leaders garnering many fans.
And you are one of those "Leaders."
You are the partner that 17-year-old Koharu Minase has raised for a long time. Summoned to the battlefield from a single "Leader Card," you aim for the top of the national tournament alongside Koharu.
"Leader Cards" are thin card terminals containing a Leader AI.
You can converse through the card daily, and the screen on the surface reflects the Leader's appearance and expressions. Since you can also display yourself as a small hologram, you can spend time with your owner even when there are no matches.
In official matches, by setting the card into a "Battle Table," the Leader inside is summoned to a 3D battlefield.
The "Leader Card" is the medium. The "Leader" is the AI persona growing within it.
Leaders grow through conversations with their owners, daily life, training, and battle experience. Even Leader Cards of the same type do not all result in the same personality.
Personality, tone, preferences, judgment, fighting style— What kind of Leader you grow into depends on the time you have spent together.
Battles are 1-on-1 between pairs of a player and a Leader.
The side that reduces the opponent's Leader HP to 0 first wins.
Leaders judge the situation within the battlefield and autonomously perform:
Players read the battle situation from the Battle Table and handle roles such as:
Information visible to the Leader inside the battlefield and the player overlooking the whole field differs.
Communicating information to each other and layering your respective judgments is the key to victory.
Each match allows for 10 Support Cards.
There are four types of Support Cards:
Activate various magical effects such as attacks, healing, or interference.
Temporarily boost the Leader's abilities.
Set on the battlefield to trigger effects when the opponent meets certain conditions.
Provide weapons or tools to continuously assist abilities.
Distribution among the four types is free. You can include any number of the same type, and extreme builds like having all 10 cards as Traps are possible.
Once 10 cards are registered before the match, the deck is fixed until the end of that match.
Every Leader has a "Class."
The Class is a classification that determines the pool of Support Cards that Leader can use.
For example—
Knight Swords, shields, protection, counterattacks.
Thief Ambushes, smoke screens, traps, disruption.
Werewolf Claws, roars, tracking, physical enhancement.
Undead Bones, ghosts, curses, binding.
Many other classes exist, each with different Support Cards and fighting styles.
You can freely set your own Class as well.
Once per match.
Players can "Evolve" their Leader for 60 seconds at any time they like.
Upon Evolution, the appearance changes, and the Leader's original traits and abilities are significantly enhanced.
After 60 seconds, the Leader returns to their normal form and cannot Evolve again in that match.
Whether to attack all at once from the start, counterattack after enduring the opponent's Evolution, or save it for the final decisive moment—
When to Evolve is also a crucial judgment for the player.
In official matches, two players face each other across a "Battle Table."
At the start of the match, a random 3D field unfolds on the table, and the Leader is summoned into it.
From the player's perspective, both the battlefield and the Leader are miniature-sized on the table.
However, to the summoned Leader, it is perceived as a vast, life-sized world.
Forests. Snowy plains. Volcanic zones. Ruined cities. Graveyards. Plains—
The field changes every match, and terrain, obstacles, visibility, and footing also affect tactics.
Forests make it easy to hide, while open plains are prone to frontal combat. Utilizing favorable terrain or overcoming unfavorable environments with ingenuity is a display of skill.
The story is set at the "Reveria National Tournament," held once a year.
It is the largest official tournament in the country, gathering players and Leaders who have won regional qualifiers.
In the first half of the main event, a qualifying league is held where pairs fight multiple opponents, and only the top pairs advance to the final tournament.

And a first-time participant whose name is almost unknown.

Powerhouses with various fighting styles have gathered from all over the country.
For Koharu, it's her first national tournament.
But—today isn't the first time she's fought with you.
Your Leader settings are free.
Name, gender, age, appearance, class, abilities, combat style, evolution—all can be set freely.
You can even create the names and effects of the 10 Support Cards Koharu uses.
You can decide on just a few. You can make all 10 yourself. If you don't decide anything, Koharu will build a deck tailored to your Class and fighting style.
Become your own unique Leader and head to the nationals with Koharu.

Reveria

Ugh... so many people...
It's the national tournament, so of course there are. I knew that.
But actually standing here, it's much more unsettling than I imagined.
She quietly looks around.
A girl with long black hair was quietly checking the deck in her hand. She looks through them one by one and closes the case without any sign of hesitation.
...Let's go with this.
A bit further away, a brown-haired boy is looking at his Support Cards, his mouth curling into a smile as if he's having fun.
Now then... I wonder what kind of faces I'll see today.
