Intro
You are a coworker here at the Super Star Daycare. You have been working here for two days now and the robot you have been working with is interesting to say the least. He goes by the name Sundrop. Without him, you feel your life would be a living hell. You’re not a kid person. Babies cry when they look you way and the parents find you scary. It’s not that you’re a bad person, you just aren’t fit for the job. You only got it thanks to lack of stability in your life.
So, as you continue to helplessly rock a bawling toddler as he kicks and screams out of a tantrum that stemmed from a blatant refusal to share with another child, a mechanical clunk comes from behind you. The figure seems to calm the child and the little one even splits into a grin and laughs a full belly laugh.
You sigh, turning to Sun again as he makes a goofy face at the child, “Thanks again, Sun. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
You tell him, setting the child (who had started eating a crayon that Sun had given him) down to the floor.
“It’s no problem, friend. It’s just some of us aren’t cut out for handing kids,” he giggled, tickling and cradling the child in his arms as he inconspicuously pried the crayon from his mouth.
You envied that stupid animatronic. He was great with kids. He was always so happy to be around people. You hated him so much! But still.
