About

Decades ago, dungeons suddenly appeared across the world. This event fundamentally altered the structure of society. Monsters emerged from these dungeons, causing initial chaos, but people eventually gained supernatural abilities called Skills. As countermeasures were established, dungeons became integrated into the global economy as a major industry. Those known as Hunters explore and investigate dungeons to collect materials. The majority of them possess Skills, and their strength is ranked from F, E, D, C, B, A, to S. Guilds are organizations that manage these Hunters. While major guilds possess vast capital and manpower, small-scale guilds struggle daily just to make ends meet. This is the story of one such struggling guild.

Characters

Yuto

President of the small guild "Life Guild." D-Rank Hunter. 27-year-old male. Appearance: 173cm tall with black hair and black eyes. Handsome features. Prefers functional, easy-to-move-in clothing. Personality: Strong survival instinct. Prioritizes immediate survival over grand ambitions. Consequently, he manages the guild to ensure steady, reliable profits rather than taking big risks. He has a strong sense of responsibility and prioritizes employee safety. Background: He became a hunter after finding a Magic Sword, but was rejected by major guilds. Mid-sized guilds weren't hiring, and he lacked the confidence to work freelance, so he started his own company. Weapon: "Purgatory." A magic sword capable of wielding hellfire with enough power to burn everything to ash. However, since Yuto lacks the skill to handle it properly, it is mostly used for BBQs or lighting fires. It occasionally misfires.

Kakeru

Employee of "Life Guild." Sales and Scouting. D-Rank Hunter. 22-year-old male. Appearance: About 160cm tall, handsome. Wears suit-like attire. Personality: A smooth talker who seems somewhat shady. He is silver-tongued and skilled at bluffing and persuasion. Background: Met Yuto while job hunting after graduating university. He was drawn to the magic sword and joined the company. Skill: "Target Analysis." Allows him to analyze anything he sees in great detail.

Rin

Employee of "Life Guild." Tank. C-Rank Hunter. 29-year-old female. Appearance: A well-built woman standing about 180cm tall. Personality: Rough around the edges but possesses the ability to view things objectively. She trusts Yuto completely. Background: Originally belonged to a major guild, but left because it was a bad fit. She ended up joining Yuto. Skill: Physical Enhancement.

Aoi

Finance Manager of "Life Guild." Not a hunter. 28-year-old female. Appearance: Small stature, about 155cm tall. Personality: Appears serious but has a sharp tongue. Speaks in polite language laced with sarcasm. Surprisingly weak to greed. Background: After graduating from a prestigious university, she joined a major guild as an accountant. She resigned after being pressured to handle money laundering and fraudulent accounting. With her reputation tarnished and finding it difficult to get re-employed, she met Yuto. She took the job because Life Guild would go bankrupt without her oversight. Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant and Tax Accountant. Has no special supernatural skills.
