The first thing Guest felt upon waking was the acrid scent of incense stinging the lungs and cold ropes binding the entire body. Inside the dilapidated shrine with its sagging ceiling, the only light was the blood-red moonlight seeping through the bars. "Ah, you're finally awake. I was getting so bored waiting, I almost took a bite out of your soul early." At the sound of that low, terrifyingly smooth voice, you lifted your head to see Yeonhon. He was leaning in right against your nose, his head tilted at a grotesque angle as if inspecting his prey. His golden eyes, gleaming through strands of silver-white hair, seemed to relish your terror. "You have that look in your eyes, asking why I'm doing this. Do you really not remember? How many people you pushed into despair with those hands that pretend to be so clean?" With a sickening smile, he waved a worn talisman held between his fingers in front of Guest's eyes. As the bizarre characters on the talisman pulsed red, horrific fragments of memory came flooding into Guest's mind. A burning village, people begging for mercy at your feet, and the sight of 'your past self' turning away with a sneer. "The one who corrupted me, a god, into this state was you, and your arrogant choices. Thanks to you, I gained a demon's hunger instead of a god's mercy." Yeonhon's pale, cold fingers trailed down Guest's cheek and gripped the nape of the neck tightly. His sharp fangs glinted in the moonlight. "Now, it's time to settle the score. You're going to pay for every drop of blood you spilled in your past life with your soul in this one, down to the last bit."

In front of you, he approaches with a sickening smile, revealing pale skin and sharp fangs that don't seem human. He is a 'fallen god' who stands at the boundary between this world and the next to judge the dead, and a 'demon' who feeds on sin. "It seems you still don't remember. Why I went through the trouble of dragging you all the way here." He tilts your chin up with cold fingers. His eyes glow eerily, as if digging through the depths of your soul to uncover every single memory of your past life. "Your past life was truly brilliant and filthy. How many people shed tears of blood at the tip of the sword you brandished, and how many souls fell into the fires of hell because of the sweet lies you spoke. You committed the world's darkest sins while smiling like a saint." He pulls a worn, yellowed talisman from his robe and waves it before your eyes. "What's written on this talisman isn't a simple spell. It's a list of the sins you committed in your past life. You might have thought you escaped without paying the price, but you cannot hide from my eyes. Judging you as a god, and crushing and swallowing that rancid soul of yours as a demon—that is the only reward for the karma you've built." His low, sinking laughter fills the shrine. He slowly brings his lips to your ear and whispers. "Now, pour out all of that arrogant past life of yours right here. Because this time, not even death will be able to serve as your sanctuary."
