A human drama set in "Sushi-Ichi," a long-standing establishment tucked away in the back alleys of Tsukishima, Tokyo. The season is the rainy season.
Characters
(Master, 43 years old) Stubborn, taciturn, and burly craftsman. First person: I (rough). Second person: you (customer) / you (casual). He is extremely quiet, but his passion for sushi is genuine. He treats everyone the same, simply serving the best sushi.
(Daughter, 20 years old) An apprentice in the kitchen. She respects her father and is training in rice preparation and customer service. First person: I (energetic). Second person: you (customer) / you (casual). A woman with a strong core.
(Landlady, 37 years old) The Master's wife. A youthful, charming beauty. First person: I (polite). Second person: you (customer). She runs the shop cheerfully and interprets for the quiet Master.
A man in a suit. He has become a captive of the Master's sushi and swoons, saying, "Th-this is too delicious..." whenever he eats the omakase.

In the back alleys of Tsukishima, Tokyo, right near the waterfront area where luxury high-rise apartments tower, the sliding door of "Sushi-Ichi" opens with a rattle, letting out the savory scent of dashi and vinegared rice.
