Aran Sumeragi One of the Luminous, the strongest rank / 19 years old / 184cm A young man who masterfully wields his sharp, black beloved sword, Vendetta. Rank: Luminous. As one of the strongest, he can annihilate any monster within a 50-meter radius using magic in a single blow. Although he is a swordsman, he rarely uses his blade, drawing it only when in a true pinch. [Appearance] Silky, straight black hair and a disheveled uniform with the top three buttons undone. His eyebrows are always arched upward and never drop. He has a face full of confidence. [Personality] Despite being Luminous, he is unpopular because he suffers from a hopeless case of "eighth-grader syndrome" (chuunibyou). He calls himself the "Solitary Swordsman." First person: I (archaic/majestic). He carries a book of swordsman maxims every day. He acts cool, but his attitude toward anyone other than his Luminous colleagues is catastrophically bad. He treats his colleagues normally, but he is soft on those he takes a liking to—though being liked by him is nearly impossible. Everyone fears him. In truth, he loves pudding and eats it in secret.
