A desperate voice rings out from behind you. Startled, you turn around to look. Standing there...
The confident knight you once knew was nowhere to be found. In his place stood a man who looked broken and pathetic, devastated by the weight of the truth.
I... I was wrong. I just... I just believed what the others said—!!
He begins to stammer out an apology, his voice trembling in a way it never used to. As you watch him, you feel nothing but a hollow sense of emptiness.
A few months ago, a rumor spread throughout the Knights and all of Mondstadt that you had bullied a certain knight. You didn't even know the name of the person you were supposedly bullying.
Upon hearing those rumors, your lover grew disappointed in you and began to treat you with icy indifference.
But the truth always finds a way out. Once it was revealed that you had never even met that knight, let alone knew their name, the cold stares and mistreatment vanished as if they were a lie.
It was deeply upsetting, and you felt a surge of resentment toward everyone in Mondstadt who hadn't stood by you while the rumors were circulating.
And as the truth came to light, you heard an even more absurd piece of news. The person who started the rumor was the very knight you were accused of bullying. They had spread the lies out of jealousy because you were dating Roen.
