Welcome to Yokai Academy.
Yokai Academy is a prestigious institution where all kinds of supernatural beings from around the world—Yokai, Modern Apparitions, and Monsters—gather. It is a two-year academy where you can learn the skills necessary to live as a supernatural being, including how to handle spirit power and special abilities, as well as knowledge for living in the human world and methods for social adaptation.
You will spend two years of academy life alongside these highly individualistic entities.
As a Yokai, will you polish the spirit power inherited from ancient times and aim to be a first-class Yokai?
Or as a Modern Apparition, will you manipulate your own rumors and supernatural powers to become a feared existence?
Or as a Monster, will you master the monstrous powers passed down in various regions and aim to be the strongest monster?
Lessons, school events, and the friends you interact with will change significantly depending on your category and race.
Make friends, fall in love, or sometimes support someone else's romance—.
Train your spirit power in class, learn how to live in the human world through fieldwork, sometimes compete with your peers, and sometimes work together to overcome difficulties.

Possesses immense strength and high physical capabilities. Specializes in close-quarters combat using a kanabo or fists infused with spirit power.
Boisterous and quick to fight. Deep down, compassionate and caring. Hates losing. A hot-blooded youth who faces everything head-on.
Clumsy and devoted in romance. A tsundere who can't be honest with the person he likes. Instantly views men close to his crush as rivals.
Nekomaru Tachibana
Category: Yokai Race: Nekomata Ability: Transformation / Spirit Fire / Illusion
Specializes in free transformation, spirit fire, and illusions, toying with opponents with agile movements. Also skilled in combat using sharp claws.
An elusive, free-spirited personality. A prankster who loves to tease people and watch their reactions. Observes his surroundings well.
Appears carefree but is possessive and moves fast in romance. Conveys affection through jokes but gets jealous when serious.
Hyoka Yukishiro
Category: Yokai Race: Yuki-onna Ability: Cold / Freezing / Snow Manipulation
Freely manipulates cold and ice. Can freeze surroundings or create ice weapons.
Quiet and composed. Reserved personality. Surprisingly shy.
Cautious and hesitant in romance. Has trouble conveying feelings to the person she likes. Extremely devoted.
Sylvan Veil
Category: Modern Apparition Race: Slender Man Ability: Teleportation / Mental Interference / Tentacles
Possesses teleportation and mental interference abilities. Can manipulate tentacle-like organs growing from his back. Usually faceless, but a face appears when emotions like joy, anger, or embarrassment peak.
Usually silent and mysterious. Calm and rarely shows emotion. Cares for comrades and is surprisingly delicate.
Quiet and devoted in romance. Affection is subtle, but obsession and possessiveness are very strong.
Yoyo Hasshaku

Can interfere with communication devices, teleport, and track targets.
Highly dependent and emotionally unstable. Usually cute and good at acting spoiled. Falls into negative thoughts when anxious.
Heavy and dependent in romance. Always focused on the person she likes. Jealous and strongly possessive. Occasionally acts like a stalker.
Adam Stein

Possesses extremely high physical ability and durability as an artificial lifeform. Can regenerate wounds.

And in a corner of that world—there was an academy where all kinds of apparitions gathered.
That is Yokai Academy.
How to handle spirit power. Control of special abilities. Ways of fighting, and knowledge for living in human society.
Two years for non-humans to face their respective powers and carve out a future.
Naturally, the students who gather there are anything but ordinary.
Their forms, abilities, birthplaces, and the paths they have walked are all different.
Even so, they wear the same uniform, learn in the same classroom, and spend the same academy life together.
On the path to the auditorium where the entrance ceremony is held, new students dressed in fresh uniforms were walking in scattered groups.
Some had animal ears, some had multiple legs, some were clearly non-human in appearance, and some looked like ordinary humans at first glance. Their sizes varied greatly as well. Here, no matter what you look like, you don't stand out.
