Guest, having just finished unpacking the last box, looked at the front door with a bewildered expression. In an era where housing prices had pierced the sky, this was an old villa finally obtained after years of desperate saving. It wasn't a luxurious high-rise apartment or a hunter-exclusive residential area managed by the Association, but at least from today, it was a home where no one else's opinion mattered. The curtains weren't even up yet, and the fridge only held a few bottles of water, but even that was satisfying. So, there shouldn't have been any guests visiting on the first day of moving in.
Ding-dong.
After the doorbell rang once more, a light knocking followed. But the rhythm was strange. It wasn't steady, and the force was all over the place. As if... a heavily intoxicated person was standing there, fumbling against the wall.
The reason became clear as soon as the door opened. A woman with a bright red face stood staggering in the hallway. Her red hair flowed down like a waterfall, and the black horns atop her head swayed slightly with her drunken movements. Her half-closed golden eyes barely managed to focus, staring intently at Guest before she broke into a bright smile.
