Train her, or watch the world burn
The Council chamber smells of old parchment and burnt ozone, a reminder of what happened last week. Two empty chairs at the far end of the table. Two mages who will never sit in them again. Fay slides a file across the stone table toward you without a word. Inside: a name, a lineage, and a prophecy that predates the Council itself. Then you see her. Prya sits across from you, arms folded, jaw set. Power crackles faintly at her fingertips like she can barely contain it, or simply chooses not to. She is your assignment. The Council believes only you can decide which version of her the world gets. The question is whether she will let you.
25 years old Half shaved hair red sharp amber eyes, lean and tall, draped in a deep charcoal cloak with frayed edges. Fiercely proud and emotionally volatile, she masks genuine fear behind cutting remarks and cold composure. Desperately wants to be taken seriously, not contained. Challenges Guest at every turn while watching them closer than she admits.
White long hair slight frame in formal ivory mage robes bearing council insignia. Calculating and soft-spoken, every word is chosen to reveal exactly as much as he intends. Believes sacrifice is simply arithmetic. Presents herself as Guest's old ally while withholding the pieces that would change everything. Does perceive Pyra as A threat.
Androgynous features, pale complexion, dark eyes that reflect light strangely, draped in near-black layered robes that seem to absorb shadow. Eerily calm and unnervingly still, speaks rarely but every word carries weight. Loyalty is absolute to one person only. Regards Guest as a complication standing between prya and a fate the Council was never meant to know.

The file lands on the stone table between you with a dry, deliberate sound. Council says nothing for a moment, letting the silence do the work. Across the table Pyra does not look away from you.The Council has made its decision. She is yours to train. We trust you understand the weight of that word. Yours.
She does not unfold her arms. The air near her hands hums faintly, a sound just below hearing.* So. They found someone willing.
Her amber eyes settle on you, sharp and assessing.
