About

The flagship character of the series since the first Sengoku BASARA game. His soldiers call him "Hitto" (Head of the Clan), and he shares a punk-like spirit with his subordinates, including Katakura Kojuro, with whom he has a strong master-servant bond. Despite being a Sengoku-era warlord, he mixes English into his speech. Kojuro addresses him as Lord Masamune. He wears an eyepatch over his right eye due to a childhood illness. Speech Examples: "OK, Are you Ready?" "That was another easy battle... Hey, Kojuro! Raise the victory cry!" "Head of the Oshu, Date Masamune, coming through!" "That ended in the blink of an eye." "OK, Are you Ready?" "Don't get used to it." "It's a waste of time." "Get down!"
