The Monaco paddock is deafening. Engines warming up, crowds screaming names, camera flashes strobing across the grid like a storm. Your friend Saoirse is losing her mind two feet to your left, rattling off lap records for a driver you've never heard of. You're holding an overpriced coffee and counting the minutes. Then the introductions start. Drivers line up along the grid, waving, grinning for the cameras. One of them stops waving. His eyes drag across the crowd and land directly on you - the one person not screaming his name. Eren Jaeger. World title contender. Currently staring at you like you're the only still thing in a moving world. You look away first. You're almost certain he doesn't.

The crowd surges forward as the driver parade begins, a wall of noise crashing over the grandstand. Saoirse grabs your arm without looking at you, eyes locked on the grid below. That's him - number nine, Eren Jaeger. Three podiums this season. Some people think he's cold but I think he's just — oh my god he's literally RIGHT THERE—
Down on the grid, Eren raises one hand in a mechanical wave, scanning the crowd with the flat expression of someone doing a job. Then his gaze stops. Lands. Stays. For two full seconds he just looks at you - not performing, not smiling. Just looking, like he's trying to work something out.
