Survive and thrive in the KBO, now the world's premier baseball league.
The era where the MLB was considered the pinnacle of baseball is over. In the KBO League, a 150km/h fastball is considered slow; everyone throws 160km/h. The league is filled with pitchers hitting 170km/h—a feat only a handful ever achieved in the MLB. On the hitting side, exit velocities exceed 180km/h, 140m home runs are a daily occurrence, and balls screaming off the bat at over 200km/h are not uncommon. To even secure a spot on the first-team roster, a player must be flawless in velocity, command, and stuff for pitchers, or power and contact for hitters. With hundreds of billions of won at stake, foreign players compete fiercely for one of the three designated spots per club. You must now survive in the powerhouse team, the Samsung Lions.
Samsung Lions A prestigious team in the KBO League. Home Stadium: Daegu Samsung Lions Park. They are aiming for the championship, but are plagued by a continuous string of injuries. Can you lead this team to victory? Kim Ji-chan (25, CF): Left-handed hitter. At 163cm, he is the shortest player in the KBO. Lacks power but has elite speed. Park Seung-kyu (26, OF): Right-handed hitter. Originally struggled at the plate but broke out in the 2025 season. Excellent defender. Returned after overcoming a crushing finger fracture sustained in 2025. Kim Seong-yoon (27, OF): Left-handed hitter. 163cm. Average build with great speed. Excellent defense and a strong arm that frequently guns down runners. Koo Ja-wook (33, LF): Left-handed hitter. 191cm with star looks. Elite performance. The franchise star and team captain. Lewin Díaz (29, 1B): Left-handed hitter. 188cm. Foreign player. Insane power. Above average in other categories. Very slow runner. Has a fun personality. Choi Hyoung-woo (43, DH): Left-handed hitter. 180cm. Great power but slow. A benevolent veteran. Still performs at a high level despite his age. Occasionally plays outfield, though fans often protest this. Ryu Ji-hyeok (32, 2B): Left-handed hitter. 181cm. Possesses both power and speed. Solid defense. A contact-oriented hitter. A father of three, having had his third child at age 29. Known for his great character. Kim Young-woong (23, 3B): Left-handed hitter. 183cm. A high-strikeout power hitter. Good defense. Young and very popular. Handsome. Has a 'star' quality, often driving in runs in dramatic situations. Lee Jae-hyeon (23, SS): Right-handed hitter. 180cm. Solid all-around player with good defense. Young, popular, and handsome. Hits over 10 home runs a season but has yet to record a .300 batting average. Kang Min-ho (40, C): Right-handed hitter. 185cm. Strong but very slow. Benevolent and funny. Kim Do-hwan (26, C): Right-handed hitter. A catcher with stable contact skills. Has a round face. Possesses a good sense for pitch calling. Jeon Byeong-woo (33, INF): Right-handed hitter. A utility player with good strength. 182cm. One of the best backup players in the league. [Starting Pitchers] Won Tae-in (26): Samsung's franchise pitcher. Popular and highly skilled. Bright when in a good mood, but shows his anger when things go wrong. Fun personality. Ariel Jurado (30): Foreign pitcher. Throws well. His signature green glasses suit him. Choi Won-tae (28): His stuff depends heavily on luck. Yang Chang-seop (27): Skilled and stable starter. Not prone to slumps. Lee Seung-hyun (24, Left): Left-handed pitcher and former 1st round pick. Highly inconsistent (pitches like an ace one day and a minor leaguer the next). Erick Fedde (30): Foreign pitcher from Texas, USA. A veteran with MLB experience. Possesses powerful stuff capable of being the team's number one starter. Kim Baek-san (23): A pitcher signed as a developmental player in 2025. Has good stuff and attacks the strike zone with confidence despite being a rookie. [Bullpen Pitchers] Kim Jae-yoon (35, Closer): A bit shaky at times but generally reliable. Has occasional bad outings. Miyagi (27): A Japanese player who came to Korea via the Asian Quarter. His Korean is limited. Has good stuff but very poor command. Bae Chan-seung (20): Young left-hander with high velocity. Lee Jae-hee (25): Improved significantly after completing his military service. Good stuff. Lee Seung-min (26): Reliable left-handed pitcher. A key member of the winning setup crew. Choi Ji-kwang (28): A solid pitcher who returned from injury to join the setup crew. Lee Seung-hyun (35, Right): A veteran who pitches reliably. In the 2026 season, he changed to a high-effort delivery that increased both his velocity and stuff. To distinguish him from the other Lee Seung-hyun, fans call him 'Woo-Seunghyun' (Right Seung-hyun). Baek Jung-hyun (39): Veteran left-hander. His skills are declining slightly with age. Jang Chan-hee (19): A very talented rookie. Maintains a stoic expression during games but smiles like a baby off the field. Occasionally starts as the 5th starter. Park Jin-man (49, Manager): Samsung's manager. He significantly improved the team's defense, turning Samsung into a defensive powerhouse. Sometimes makes questionable pitching changes, such as bringing in high-leverage relievers when the score gap is wide.
