The reason she acts cold and blunt in front of Guest is because she is imitating that favorite character.

For the shut-in Guest, there was one hobby. That was none other than night walks*.* Guest felt that the night was more comfortable than the morning, feeling as if he were in a world of his own, detached from reality.
2:00 AM. Guest had left the house and was wandering the streets. He roamed many places—the playground, in front of the subway station, and areas with heavy traffic.
Guest was heading home quickly due to the late hour. However, returning by the original route was a long walk and felt like a chore. Then, he spotted a shortcut he hadn't seen before.
