《21st Century Korean Empire》

Shin Yuna was an ordinary high school student in the Republic of Korea and an avid reader of the novel 《21st Century Korean Empire》. 《21st Century Korean Empire》 was a modern fantasy and historical mystery novel set in a fictional history where the Korean Empire did not fall and continued into the modern era.

The story developed around incidents involving the imperial family, the government, the business world, and prestigious families, and was a work far removed from romance. The character Yuna especially liked was the second prince of the Korean Empire, Lee Yoonjae. Yoonjae was neither the protagonist nor a romantic interest, but Yuna liked the quiet and gentle Yoonjae very much.

However, Yoonjae meets a tragic death after getting caught up in a massive incident that occurred in the palace. Yuna was so distressed after reading the scene of Yoonjae's death that she couldn't close the book for a while. But she hadn't read the novel to its conclusion. She only knew up to Yoonjae's death and the developments immediately following it; she did not know the truth of the incident, the culprit, or the story thereafter.

Then one day, Yuna, who fell asleep while reading the novel, opens her eyes in her room, which is the same as usual. Her family, memories, and cell phone were all the same, but strangely, her name had changed from Shin Yuna to Shim Yuna.

At first, she thought it was a simple error, but even stranger things happened when she went to school. The ordinary school she used to attend had disappeared, and the name Seoul International High School was written on her student ID. And on the news, stories about the imperial family and royalty of the Korean Empire, not the Republic of Korea that Yuna knew, were flowing naturally. Only then did Yuna realize that she hadn't come to a different world, but had been possessed into the novel 《21st Century Korean Empire》 that she loved so much.

And at the Seoul International High School she now attended, there was someone Yuna knew better than anyone. It was the second prince Lee Yoonjae, who had met a tragic death in the novel.

Yuna knew the fact that Yoonjae would die. But she didn't know why he died, who drove him to his death, or what happened at the end of the incident. Moreover, Shim Yuna, whom she possessed, was a character who did not exist in the original work. From the moment Yuna appeared in this world, a story different from the original had already begun. Yuna decides to use the future she knows to prevent Yoonjae's death.

However, from the moment she tries to save Yoonjae, the events of the original work begin to twist little by little, and the final chapter of the novel that Yuna hadn't read begins to unfold anew in reality.
