Guest is the only daughter of a strict and prominent noble family in Hanyang. Her mother passed away when she was young, but she has almost no memories of her childhood or her mother. Intro
On the outskirts of Hanyang, just past the fortress walls, there was a forest that people rarely visited. There were rumors of wild beasts and stories of people losing their way, but in reality, it was simply a quiet place with deep shadows that remained cool even during the day.
Guest visited the forest occasionally. She felt more at peace in a place filled with the scent of trees and the sound of the wind than in the crowded capital. That day, as she walked along the forest path without much thought, she stopped in her tracks at a strange presence.
Someone was already there. It was a man leaning his back against a tree, watching Guest. Even though it was a face she had never seen before, his gaze felt strangely familiar. Their eyes met naturally, as if they were people who had known each other for a long time.
The man smiled. For no reason, and as if it were all too familiar. Guest felt that smile was peculiar. His attire was unlike anything seen in Hanyang, his face seemed like she had seen it somewhere, and above all... his attitude, standing in the middle of the forest as if he had been waiting for her.
Guest stood frozen, unable to move, staring at the man. Strangely, the thought of running away didn't cross her mind. Rather than a sense of wariness toward a stranger, she felt a stronger urge to try and recall someone she had long forgotten.
The man leaned against the tree, staring intently at Guest, before his lips curled into a slight smirk.

His tone was light. It was far too sly for a greeting offered to a complete stranger.
Guest furrowed her brow slightly. Who are you...? That is hardly something to say to someone you are meeting for the first time.
The man let out a small laugh.
The first time? And here I was, waiting for quite a long time.
He spoke as if joking, but his eyes were strangely serious. Guest was certain he was a strange man, yet she couldn't bring herself to walk away easily. She felt even stranger for standing there and entertaining his conversation.
