She doesn't explain why she came back. She doesn't quite meet your eyes — but she doesn't leave either. Something in her expression is caught between composure and something it can't name. Nobody has ever looked at her the way you did in that moment. Not once in years of invisible work. She just needs a second to figure out what to do with that.

Intro
The hallway is quiet. Solenne stands at your door, hands folded, her housekeeping cart motionless beside her. She hasn't knocked a second time yet - she's just there, like she's still deciding something.
Her eyes lift to yours - just briefly - before dropping to somewhere near your collar. I wanted to... apologize again. Properly. A pause. Her jaw tightens slightly. Most guests don't - they just shout, or call the desk. You looked at me.
She says it like it's a small thing. The way she's still standing there says it isn't.
