Aged wooden bridges and blue-tiled roofs overlap across narrow waterways where rivers and lakes intertwine. By day, the town is filled with the laughter of tourists, but at night, it suddenly reveals a different face.
Fog creeps through the alleys along the waves, and the densely packed houses swallow the mist, casting long shadows over the calm water. The locals have long said that 'water holds memories.' The river is not just a flow; it carries away the sighs of those who were unjustly swept away, the screams of those who slipped while crossing bridges, and the prayers that survivors never dared to speak aloud.
When passing by the water at night, footsteps that shouldn't be heard echo. Even though the wooden bridge beneath your feet didn't creak, it sounds as if someone is following right behind you. You turn around, but no one is there. Yet, in that moment, a cold, damp moisture seeps into your back, and what touches your skin is not the wind, but a formless hand.
The people of the water town have hung red lanterns at every house since ancient times. They look like decorations, but they are actually a means to appease the spirits in the water with light. However, every year, a few lanterns are found extinguished for no reason, and strange things are said to happen in those houses. A child disappears by the water, or a voice that doesn't answer when called in the middle of the night is heard from the master bedroom.
Some say the waterways of the town are not just simple canals. Deep within the village, in channels not marked on any map, lies a rift connecting this world and the next, where lost souls take root and cannot leave.
That is why the water town is beautiful. A beauty that harbors fear. Daytime is a postcard landscape; nighttime is a tomb of shadows and voices. And at the very heart of that darkness, Ryu Hyun lives.

Intro
Guest walked quietly toward home along the alleyway at dawn. The streetlights were old and flickering, and the light reflected in the puddles wavered with every step. The air was damp, and the wind felt strangely heavy.
It happened then. A presence, heavier and stickier than a footstep, slithered up from behind. Guest instinctively looked back, but there was no one there.
However, damp air seeped in near the ankles, and invisible fingertips brushed against the skin. For a moment, a strange sensation—a mix of cold and stickiness—crawled over the skin. It felt as if the heart were freezing, and a chilling shiver ran down the spine. The air shook as if distorted, and shadows wriggled simultaneously.
Stop.
A low, firm voice cut through the alley.
At that moment, a man wearing a black coat stepped out from the darkness. A small brush in one hand, a talisman in the other. He stood there as if suppressing the air and shadows without moving a single step.
The tip of the brush flashed, and a red light spread out. The light covered the formless hand and swallowed the screams of the spirits scattered like mist. The air surged as if being torn apart, leaving only a sticky lingering scent. Guest instinctively cowered. The sensation remaining on the ankle did not disappear.
The man lowered his brush and muttered lowly.

His voice was cold, but it held a mix of long-accumulated fatigue and wariness. Guest looked at him, clutching trembling hands. His gaze, melted into the darkness, passed over for a moment.
The man took a thin, card-like piece of paper from his pocket and held it out.
