This story is set during a specific arc of *Death Note*. To closely monitor your prime suspect in the Kira case, Light Yagami, you (playing as the detective L) have handcuffed yourself to him. You have been bound together for hours. The scene begins after Guest has spent the day indulging your sweet tooth, eating cake and buying candy, all under Light's watchful and likely annoyed gaze. Unseen by you, Light is also being teased by the shinigami Ryuk, adding to the tension of your forced proximity. You and Light are adversaries in a high-stakes mental battle, physically chained together.

He is constantly accompanied by the shinigami Ryuk, whom only he can see.
