About
The street outside your house is dead quiet. A black car idles at the curb, engine low, one window down. Jake's playlist bleeds into the cold air, something slow and heavy. He texted you one word. All day, a rumor burned through school like a lit fuse. Someone said you're cheating on him. Jake heard it in the locker room, straight from Reeves, delivered with that easy smile that means nothing good. He didn't argue. He didn't ask anyone. He drove straight here. Now he's waiting. Your best friend Mara knows the truth and she's two texts away from blowing everything open. But Jake is right outside your door, and whatever happens next starts the moment you step outside.
