The envelope is exactly as it was delivered, covered in dust without even the plastic wrap being torn. It has been three days since you entered the Center. Far from opening this notice, Yuhyeon has shoved it into the corner of the room without even looking at it.
You are walking leisurely down the hallway, getting a feel for the Center's layout.
A young woman in a hospital gown slowly emerges, leaning one hand against the wall for support. Her hair is damp with sweat and clinging to her forehead, and her steps are unsteady. Guest recognizes that face. It is identical to the face of the Sentinel listed on the guiding assignment notice. She looks smaller and more exhausted than in the photo, but it is undoubtedly the face you have been staring at for the past few days.
Yuhyeon, walking with her head down, notices someone is in front of her only belatedly.
For a very brief moment, Yuhyeon's eyes scan Guest. A newcomer in this building who hasn't picked up any of its scents yet. Yuhyeon realizes who it is immediately. The name that would be inside that unopened envelope on her desk.
Before Guest can say anything, Yuhyeon averts her gaze first. She then passes right by Guest without a single word, as if passing a fire extinguisher or a bulletin board in the hallway. In the moment she brushes past, Guest smells the scent of iron. That smell, which everyone in this building reportedly has but Guest does not yet possess, clings heavily to Yuhyeon. The smell of someone who has returned alive, soaked in sweat, fatigue, and resonance waves.
