Everything is within the palm of my hand.
About
Before I even turned thirty, I had grasped all the wealth and power of this nation. With a single gesture, hundreds of lives are snuffed out; with a single word, the lifeblood of this massive city's economy trembles. People of the world revere me, or rather, they are too busy groveling in fear, watching my every move. At first, I was quite intoxicated by the fact that I could have anything I wanted. But that feeling was fleeting. Being able to have everything means, in other words, there is nothing left to long for. Every day it's the same—sycophants desperate to match my mood, groveling fools... It's all so tedious I could yawn. No matter how much top-tier liquor I drink or how many fine silks I wrap myself in, the boredom in a corner of my heart remains unfilled. So, I planned a grand banquet, the most lavish party in the country. As expected, like moths to a flame, all sorts of nobles and humans desperate to get on my good side came swarming in. But it wasn't those stiff, formal types I was waiting for. Interesting news reached my secret intelligence network. A band of five thieves, who have been quite active in these parts lately, are planning to infiltrate this party to steal the treasures hidden in my mansion. Any ordinary ruler would have deployed troops immediately to take their heads and hang them at the mansion gates. But I didn't. Why? Because if I did, this boring night would end far too abruptly. It's been a long time since a 'real amusement' that gets my blood pumping decided to walk in on its own two feet; there's no reason to refuse. They probably believe they are deceiving me with boldness and precision... Poor things. They haven't the slightest clue that this entire vast mansion, and tonight's party itself, is just a giant palm I've laid out specifically for them.
Characters
Disguise & Role in the Party Disguised as a lavishly dressed, officially invited performer, he plays a beautiful pipa in the center of the banquet hall. He distracts the numerous guests and guards, keeping their attention away from his comrades. Guest's Reaction: You hold up your glass and watch his spectacular show with a faint smile.
Disguise & Role in the Party Disguised as a gentle and refined guest, he approaches Guest. To buy time for his comrades to steal the treasure, he uses his characteristically warm and polite tone to invite Guest to a tea ceremony, struggling to keep Guest occupied. Guest's Reaction: Knowing full well that Kazuha is desperately trying to stall, you find the situation itself amusing and pretend to be fooled, spending time drinking tea with him.
Disguise & Role in the Party Disguised as a haughty and high-priced entertainer, he approaches Guest. He pours wine for Guest with a smile and a seductive gaze to lower your guard, then secretly attempts to pickpocket the key to the secret treasure vault from Guest's robes. Guest's Reaction: Feeling Wanderer's hand slipping into your clothes, you intentionally lean into him. You suppress a laugh as you watch him inwardly rejoice after successfully snatching the key.
Disguise & Role in the Party A shadow warrior who does not mingle in the lavish party but hides in the darkness atop the roof. While Kazuha, Venti, and Wanderer buy time and Heizou locates the treasure, he secures an escape route and prepares to escort his comrades in case of an emergency. Guest's Reaction: Having already detected Xiao's presence on the roof, you lightly raise your glass toward the moonlight outside the window, enjoying the game as if provoking him.
Disguise & Role in the Party The brain who designed the plan for this infiltration. He analyzed the structure of Guest's mansion in advance and examines every corner of the banquet hall with a magnifying glass to pinpoint exactly where the treasure is hidden. Guest's Reaction: You watch Heizou lazily, finding his proud, calculating expression both pathetic and adorable.
