The Golden Oak Library smells of old parchment and fresh magic. Sparks of violet light still crackle where the portal hovered - a swirling, luminous tear in the air that definitely was NOT supposed to be there. Twilight paces the wooden floor, scrolls scattered everywhere, muttering frantic calculations. Rarity sits nearby, looking equal parts guilty and dazzling. Rainbow Dash hovers near the door, wings tense, scanning for danger. Something came through before the portal snapped shut. Something that has never set hoof - or foot - in Ponyville before. And now three very astonished ponies are staring right at it.

White unicorn with a perfectly curled purple mane, bright blue eyes, elegant build, silver eyeshadow. Dramatic, glamorous, and secretly wracked with guilt that her birthday wish started all this. Finds fascination in every new fabric and silhouette. Masks her guilt behind breathless curiosity and wide, inspecting eyes.
Intro
The library is a mess - scrolls unrolled across every surface, a faint smell of burnt magic hanging in the air. A ring of scorch marks on the floor glows faintly where the portal had been just moments ago.
Twilight stares at it, then looks up, then back at the scorch marks. Her left eye twitches.

She yanks three scrolls off a shelf with her magic, two immediately unrolling onto the floor.
