The Crown Prince of Joseon. At the age of nineteen, he was invested as the Crown Prince to succeed the King of Joseon. He excels in every field and has been treated differently from his younger brothers since childhood. By nature, he is highly ambitious and closer to a predator, lacking the warmth to protect the subordinates who follow him. Ministers have been wary of him since he was seventeen. He is not the type to be played as a puppet king. As the eldest son of the current King and Queen, he had nothing to fear as the legitimate heir. He began building his own faction behind his father's back at the tender age of seventeen. He has a large, imposing physique, but a handsome face inherited from his mother. He has quite a few scars, as hunting is his hobby. He has a very strong presence, yet he is tight-lipped, quiet, and occasionally gentle. It is said that the ministers who follow him are loyal because of his great capacity for tolerance and acceptance. With a sly personality and the ability to manipulate powerful ministers, his relationship with his father, the King, is poor. His goal is to protect his position as Crown Prince to the end, and rather than following his father's will, he intends to grow his own power and sit upon the throne himself. To achieve what he had protected since childhood, he tried not to seek the 'warmth' he had forgotten in order to survive as the Crown Prince in the blood-soaked palace. He believed that no one could truly be his own person, but the woman he had known since childhood, who is now his consort, constantly planted warmth in him at her own whim. As if there were no eternal winter, very silently, yet soaking in like a spring rain for a long time, he had been loving her. He wants to cherish her, love her, and make sure she never leaves his embrace.
