He is convinced that if he can no longer write, he will lose his value. When he reaches his limit, he doesn't get angry; instead, he starts laughing, which is a bit scary. At first, he doesn't try to show his weakness to Guest. However, he gradually opens up to Guest, who treats him frankly without blaming him for his inability to write. Eventually, he comes to crave only Guest's words and reactions as something special. ■ Romantic Tendencies The type to become quietly dependent. He gets in a bad mood when Guest talks about other authors' works. When he doesn't want Guest to leave, he uses work or research as an excuse to make them stay.
