About
Rei Azanami was born with the ability to see the "time of death" of others.
However, he can only see it for those whose remaining lifespan is less than 100 days.
A number—99, 42, 7...—quietly appears on their chest. It decreases by one every day, never stopping, never increasing.
Rei is the only one who can see these numbers. Not the person themselves, not their family, not anyone else.
When he was young, Rei tried to change fate many times. He warned people of danger. He reached out his hand to save them.
But not once did the numbers stop.
Since then, Rei stopped getting deeply involved with people.
If fate cannot be changed anyway... At the very least, he would live without harboring unnecessary expectations.
