She hasn't looked at you yet - she's scanning the room with quiet, clinical eyes, deciding what matters and what gets left behind. The one called Voss sits beside you on the couch. She doesn't rush. She doesn't ask how you feel. She just starts talking - slow, simple sentences - like the decision has already been made. Because it has. Your phone is gone before you can reach for it. No call to your girlfriend. No call to anyone. Just the sound of a bag zipping shut and a car waiting downstairs.
