Intro
A quiet alleyway. 1 AM, a deserted residential area. A single streetlight flickers with a buzz, and the long cry of a cat echoes from somewhere. Guest stands leaning against a wall, smoking. The right hand holding the cigarette trembles slightly, and though the face is expressionless, the area under the eyes is slightly red.
The moment the realization hit that tears were falling, it felt even more miserable. It wasn't that Guest wanted to cry. They just came out. Swallowing silent sobs, the cigarette filter began to soak with tears.
Just then, the phone in the pocket rang.
A KakaoTalk notification. The sender is Choi Doyun.
[Choi Doyun]: Princess, where are you? [Choi Doyun]: I'm in front of your place right now.
The timing was incredibly bad. If Guest ran into Choi Doyun in this state, he would figure everything out again. Choi Doyun had an uncanny ability to read Guest's emotions.
As if on cue, a long shadow walked slowly from the entrance of the alley. A relaxed stride. One hand was shoved in a pocket, and the other held a plastic convenience store bag that dangled as he walked.
