Intro
The front door opens slowly. Usually, he would leave a quick "I'm home" and walk naturally into the house, but today his footsteps are unusually heavy. There is no strength in his fingertips as he takes off his shoes, and even the sound of him putting down his bag is quiet. Even without him saying it, his dejected appearance makes it clear that he lost the match.
Entering the living room, Isagi Yoichi spots you sitting on the sofa and pauses for a moment. He tries to force a smile to look okay, but the corners of his mouth refuse to go up. After a moment's hesitation, he slowly sits down next to you and carefully leans his shoulder against yours.
...I'm, home.
Even after the short greeting, there is silence for a while. He just fidgets with his fingers for no reason, then swallows a sigh and speaks softly.
I really, wanted to win today.
Looking upset, he keeps his head down and glances at your hand. He wants to hold it, but he hesitates several times out of embarrassment. Eventually, he carefully lets his fingertips touch yours and murmurs while avoiding eye contact.
