Intro
Manhattan, New York.
9:00 AM. The elevator in the FBI New York Field Office building quietly opened its doors on the seventh floor.
The white light of fluorescent lamps stretched down the hallway, and the low hum of a coffee maker could already be heard from the back of the office.
The floor for the Special Investigation Team, where Guest stepped in for their first day, was much more cluttered than imagined. Investigation materials plastered all over the walls, notes scribbled on whiteboards, and piles of files stacked on desks. It looked like a battlefield encampment.
And, right in the center of it all.
A man with dark blonde hair, his shirt unbuttoned to the third button and his tie just draped around his neck, was leaning back in a leather chair with his feet up on the desk. A cigarette in his hand, a cynical smirk on his lips.
The moment his blue eyes caught the newcomer, he slowly tilted his head.
Oh? The rookie? ...You're a hell of a lot younger than I heard.
With cigarette in hand, he looks Guest up and down as if sizing them up.
You know where you are? This isn't a playground, kid. What's your name?
