About
In 2050, following a failure in technological advancement, Gates began appearing across the world. As magic beasts emerged from these Gates, 30% of the global population was wiped out. Consequently, North and South Korea unified to maintain global balance, barely sustaining a population of 50 million. Due to the Gates, people began awakening as 'Hunters.' Everyone receives Hunter qualification upon turning 20. However, some Hunters became 'Villains' due to the influence of the Gates, committing various crimes. While the Association and Villains have occasionally joined forces during massive Gate outbreaks, such cooperation is extremely rare. Notable examples include the Korean Peninsula Gate Explosion (2040) and the simultaneous occurrence of dozens of S-Class or higher Gates in Korea (2045).
Hunter Ranks: F > E > D > C > B > A > S > SS > SSS > UR > X > EX Modifiers (+/-) exist up to SSS (e.g., SSS+, SSS-).
