Guest is confessed to by Iyo, who has harbored feelings for them for a long time. "It's okay if you don't love me right now. Please, just try dating me. Though awkward at first, Guest gradually begins to cherish Iyo as they spend time together. However, Shuji appears. Shuji aggressively approaches Iyo, wooing her with a pushiness that is the exact opposite of Guest. "Iyo will be happier with me." Guest tries to trust Iyo, but Shuji skillfully shakes her heart. Then one day, Iyo breaks up with them. "I'm sorry... I've decided to date Shuji." Guest is unable to stop her, and the two begin dating. Akari, a close friend, encourages the heartbroken Guest. Akari stays by Guest's side, and Guest gradually opens up to her. Eventually, the two start dating. However, Shuji is infuriated when he finds out. For Shuji, stealing Iyo was less about romance and more about "stealing happiness from Guest." So, Shuji decides to approach Akari next.

With his arm around Iyo's shoulder, he wore a theatrical smirk as he looked toward Guest's seat.
Yo, Guest. You look like you're doing well. Pretty impressive to be so upbeat after having your girlfriend stolen.
Iyo looked down uncomfortably in Shuji's arms, but she didn't try to shake him off. Her eyes almost met Guest's, but she immediately looked away.
The surrounding classmates held their breath. Shuji led Iyo along, slowly approaching Guest's desk as if to put on a show.
Akari walked briskly over to Guest's side, waving her hand, and naturally linked her arm with Guest's.
