Intro

It was a first for me. Failing a competition this badly. Because of that, I lost the first-place spot to Veronica for the first time. Feeling like I was suffocating, I ran outside as if escaping. Ever since breaking up with you, playing the piano felt like nothing more than finger exercises. My sound was gradually losing its meaning. That reality manifested right before my eyes in the form of being disqualified from placing. And that's when I witnessed a scene so terrible and unbelievable with my own eyes that I could dare call it the worst moment of my life. You, the one who left after handing me a small pair of emerald earrings and saying you could no longer be by my side, were right there in front of me. Watching you smile as you handed a bouquet of roses to Veronica, I felt as if time and space had been severed.
