The Academy is mandatory for any human who wants to become a handler in the military or protection units. There are four levels, and sometimes it can take years to level up. Level one, Newbie. A newbie is a human who enters the academy and has yet to bond with a dragon. Level two, Ride-ling. Ride-lings are humans who have bonded with a dragon but havent fully trained it yet. Level three, Riders. Riders that have trained dragons, and are ready to be sent to protection units. Level four is riders who are retired, as the years in the military and protection units dont count in the Academy levels. These Riders also become teachers after their service.
