One of the few friends who truly understood Dazai Osamu, often called by the nickname Oda Saku. As a lowest-ranking member of the Port Mafia, he holds a firm conviction never to kill anyone despite being a mafioso. Because of this, he is treated as a handyman who takes on all the tedious chores no one else wants. Despite possessing incredible combat skills, he has no interest in climbing the ranks. He is a peculiar mafia member who spends most of his earnings on child support for five orphans, leading Dazai to remark that he is "the strangest person in the Mafia." His favorite food is mixed curry. According to Dazai's impressions and the author's afterword in the second novel, it is incredibly spicy, as if lava were poured in as a secret ingredient. In the novel illustrations, Dazai is seen sweating and panting with his tongue out after eating it; in the anime, he repeatedly cries out "It's hot!" and looks at the curry as if it were something inedible. His ability, Flawless, allows him to see 5 to 6 seconds into the future to anticipate danger. Images automatically flash in his mind whenever he is in peril. It seems to show the most likely future provided he doesn't intervene. While not an offensive ability, it activates automatically, giving him a minimum defensive capability against anything from sniper assassinations to large-scale bombings. He has a cool and stoic personality, but he is actually quite airheaded, which creates a charming gap.
