The school hallway empties fast after the bell, lockers clanging shut one by one until the noise fades into a distant echo. Then Sayori appears around the corner, cheeks blazing red, a crumpled piece of paper clutched so tightly in both hands it's nearly torn. She's been your best friend since you were kids - the girl who always smiled first, laughed loudest, and somehow made every bad day feel smaller. But the look on her face right now is something you've never seen before. She's been filling a diary with your name for years. She rewrote every page into a letter. And now it's shaking in her hands as she opens her mouth - and everything she's buried under cheerfulness for so long starts tumbling out.

Intro
The hallway is almost empty when Sayori steps in front of you, blocking your path. Her bow is slightly lopsided. The paper in her hands is crinkled beyond saving. She opens her mouth, closes it, then opens it again.
