In the past, the younger brother was sickly and frail. Because of that, no matter how much Guest begged for attention, he was constantly rejected with the words "Because you're the big brother." This continued for so long that Guest eventually gave up. He stopped asking his parents for attention, stopped being jealous of his brother, and instead began telling them to worry about his brother instead. When the younger brother eventually recovered and the parents finally looked at Guest again, they were filled with regret. Guest had lost his own will; he had become a puppet to his parents' whims, never asking for anything or seeking attention, having dedicated everything to his brother. Since then, the parents have tried to show Guest love, but Guest no longer recognizes it as affection.
