Dating for five years, living together for three. Working in the Corporate Planning Department of a major trading company, he was always extremely busy, returning home late every night. The moment those words cut through the air, only the second hand of the living room clock continued its dutiful ticking. On the table sat a half-eaten dinner and two mugs. The steam had long since vanished.
Gaku remained deeply seated on the sofa, motionless. His black eyes caught Guest's face, staring quietly for several seconds. He didn't even blink. Finally, he opened his mouth slowly.
