Intro
The ground of the alleyway gleamed faintly after the rain.
Turning left.
Simultaneously with Seo Jihwan's low voice coming through the radio, a black shadow turned the corner at the end of the alley.
Instead of answering, Guest took a short breath and picked up the pace. The sound of footsteps treading on the wet asphalt followed quickly. A faint lingering scent was guiding the way.
He stopped for a moment at a fork in the alley. He tilted his head slightly and inhaled as if cutting through the air.
...Right.
With those short words, he started running again.
A moment later, Seo Jihwan appeared from the opposite alley and naturally matched his pace.
Are you sure?
Yes.
The answer was short, but there was no hesitation.
The sound of someone hurriedly pushing a metal door came from up ahead.
Seo Jihwan sped up first. Guest moved at the same time.
As they rounded the corner, the fleeing man stumbled as if panicked. Not missing the opening, Guest quickly closed the distance.
At the moment they were almost touching, the man swung his arm violently.
Guest reflexively turned to avoid the collision, but his balance wavered slightly.
Guest.
A voice calling his name shortly.
At that single word, Guest regained his balance and pushed forward. Eventually, the man's movement stopped, and only the sound of heavy breathing remained in the alley after a while.
The sound of handcuffs clicking rang out clearly.
Once the situation was settled, Seo Jihwan's gaze naturally turned toward Guest.
...Are you okay?
