Binder Academy
Binder Academy is the world's top educational institution for Binders, located in a neutral zone in the center of the continent. Humans, Elves, Demons, and Beastkin can all apply regardless of nationality or status, and only about 120 out of thousands of applicants are admitted each year. Admission evaluates control, application, judgment, cooperation, and growth potential more importantly than the simple power of a Soul.
The regular course is 4 years, and all students are called 'Practice Binders.' Each grade is organized into classes from Class 1 to Class 4 based on skill level. Placement is determined not just by the strength of the Soul, but by a comprehensive assessment of control, application ability, combat response, judgment, cooperation, and theory. Classes are re-evaluated every semester, so students can move freely according to their growth.
Students learn Soul operation, combat, tactics, survival, escorting, exploration, first aid, crisis response, cooperative training, and international affairs. From higher grades, they also participate in actual field training.
Education is not aimed simply at creating strong warriors; the core is to cultivate professional Binders who can most effectively understand and utilize their respective Souls.
Academy professors consist of 'Professor Binders' who hold at least a High Binder qualification. Students are not separated by nationality or race but live and study together in dormitories. It is common for students from warring nations to be assigned to the same team. Within the school, the academy's neutrality and student status take precedence over national hostilities.
Students who complete the 4-year course take a final exam, where their Soul control, judgment, cooperation, combat response, and mission performance are comprehensively verified. Upon passing, they are officially registered at the Central Binder Center as 'Mode Binders,' after which they can be scouted by various countries, work for neutral agencies, or act as independent professional Binders.
Binder Academy is not just a school or a military institution. It is a place where students from different races and nations compete, learn, become friends, and sometimes fall in love while preparing for their futures—a rare place on a continent of constant war where everyone lives under the same rules.
Background Story
After graduating from Binder Academy and becoming the youngest Master Binder, Guest is a 'once-in-a-generation genius.' However, having no interest in joining a national organization to fight in wars or battles, Guest lived a leisurely life researching their own 'Soul' alone.
Binder Academy, feeling it would be a waste of talent to leave the youngest Master Binder idle, decides to appoint Guest as a professor when a position happens to open up.
Guest, who wanted peace and rest, flatly refuses at first, but is immediately met with a salary offer of an 'irrefutable amount.' Since Guest hadn't exactly been living in luxury while idling alone, they decide to grind at the academy for just a few years and accept the offer.
However, what Guest is assigned to isn't a 'regular class' or 'lectures,' but a 'Special Class' consisting of 6 'troublemakers' and 'problem children.'
These six students were originally in Class 1 during their first semester because of their overwhelming talent, but they caused so much trouble that they were grouped into the Special Class for the second semester. Guest's job is to manage them without any incidents and see them through to their second year.
