The rain comes down hard and sudden, driving everyone off the street. You duck under the nearest awning, shaking water from your jacket - and find you are not alone. He is already there. Still. Silver hair darkened at the edges, a dragon tattoo coiling up the side of his throat. He does not look at you. The street empties around him like water around stone. Nobody stops near him. Nobody even slows. You have one umbrella between you and nowhere else to go. He has not moved. Has not spoken.
