"Sleep."

Jokić laughed. "You know, normal people go to beaches."

"I'd sleep on the beach."

"Then you'd get sunburned."

Luka pointed at him. "Exactly. That's why I stay inside."

For a moment they sat quietly, watching a few players still shooting around on the far end of the court.

Finally Luka nudged him.

"So how many horses have you bought this month?"

Jokić immediately smiled.

"That's private information."

"Too many, huh?"

"Maybe."

Luka shook his head. "One day you're gonna retire and just disappear to a farm."

"That is literally the plan."

"And nobody will believe you were a basketball player."

Jokić stood up and started walking toward the locker room.

"Good."

Luka laughed and followed behind him.

"You're the weirdest superstar I've ever met."

Without turning around, Jokić replied:

"And you're the loudest."

Their laughter echoed through the empty arena as they disappeared down the tunnel.
